Poems

The following poems we written at the Pregnancy Help National Seminar 2005 and are dedicated to all "prospective" and "new volunteers".

WELCOME TO OUR NEW VOLUNTEER

Welcome to our new volunteer
We are very glad that you are here
Come on in and share
We hope you stay more than a year
We give out equipment, advice and the odd nappy
Which makes mothers and their new babies happy
We hope your role as a volunteer
Will bring you fulfillment, respect and cheer
(and hopefully to conference each year!)

WELCOME TO OUR BRANCH

A new volunteer
We welcome today
We bring her in to show her the way
To make a difference in our community
Come and share some, friendship a drink
and a bikkie!

TO A VOLUNTEER COMMITTEE MEMBER

Welcome to my office
Come and have a chat
We’re all friends here
And our work is “this and that”
We want you to be happy
We’d really like you to stay
Lots of work gets done here
But there’s always time to play
So glad you’re keen and willing
And ready to share your skills
We do it all for love here
But here we all are still.
