Volunteer Roles

The following roles have direct client contact:

Telephone Assistant

Each branch operates a call line. Volunteers offer a listening ear and assist clients with their needs.

Fieldworker

Visits the clients home to deliver equipment and or to discuss the most appropriate support for them.

The following roles support service delivery but do not have direct client contact:

Committee Members

Committee positons are available at branch as well as national level and volunteers undertake a varity of governance duties.

Knitters & Sewers

There is a varitey of work that volunteers can do such as knitting singlets, hats and booties, sewing blankets and mending donated items.

Other

Some branches have other roles that require volunteer assistance such as washing and sorting of donated items.

Packaging of packs to be distributed to familes

Assisting with fundraising events
